In its short history Anonimo has built an extraordinary success and created recognizable name in the watchmaking industry. In all the manners we can say it stands rightfully to its Swiss colleges. Anonimo was founded in Florence, Italy in 1997 by respected designer and entrepreneur Federico Massacesi who had already gained many yearÂ’s experience in the field of Luxury Goods for Salvatore Ferragamo SpA. His vision was to create an enterprise specializing in the production of unique Italian timepieces focused on staying true to Florentine watch making tradition. He accepted the challenge therefore to be known worldwide as the most important Italian Company producing high quality mechanical timepieces.
Why Anonimo? The name has not been chosen by chance, even if it has given rise to both curiosity and interest. The name Anonimo, the Italian word for anonymous, was born out of a fundamental philosophy of the Company. This philosophy is based on the principle that the watches are not about us they are about the individual who wears them and are a testimony to and an expression of the personality of the wearer.

Having decided to enter the world of yachting, to design its boat Anonimno has engaged famous Rolf Vroljika (former designer for Alinghi), and a team lead manager Riccardo Simoneschi. The reason for this decision lies in the perfect fit for their watches with the technology and design of the sailing world, and the water is the main element of the Anonimo brand.

Anonimo watches have proven to withstand even 100% more pressure than anticipated.
